If you’re outside of Southern California, please use this page to receive an Activation Box by mail and personally deliver it to a first responder station near you.

What Is an Activation Box?

Each Activation Box is a meaningful way to say thank you—delivered in person and received directly by those who serve.

Each Activation Box includes:

  • Paracords handcrafted by Operation Gratitude volunteers across the country
  • Handwritten thank-you letters written by grateful Americans nationwide

These items are meant to be delivered together, creating a personal expression of appreciation for first responders in your community.

How This Opportunity Works in Four Easy Steps

  • Activation Boxes are shipped to volunteers ahead of April 25th
  • Volunteers coordinate delivery directly with a local first responder station
  • All deliveries must be completed by the end of April
  • This opportunity is part of a limited April service effort

The steps below outline what participation looks like from start to finish.

 

Step 1: Choose a Local First Responder Station

Please identify a first responder station in your community—such as a fire station, police department, EMS station, or similar agency.

Before delivery:

  • Research the station’s location and contact information
  • Call the station in advance to confirm a convenient time for a drop-off

Sample Call Script

“Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a volunteer with Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit organization saying thank you to Service Members, Veterans, and First Responders. I’m calling to see if there’s a convenient time for me to stop by and deliver a small thank-you package on behalf of grateful volunteers across the country.”

If a station is unable to accept the delivery, please thank them for their time and reach out to another nearby location. Once your station confirms they can accept, complete the form below with their information.

Step 2: Complete Your Registration & Delivery Form 

Complete the requested information on the form below by April 15th, which serves as both your registration and your delivery documentation for this activation.

After completing the form, you will:

  • Receive a completed form via email
  • Download and print the form
  • Bring the printed form with you at the time of delivery

Step 3: Deliver Your Activation Box

At the time of delivery, please:

  • Deliver the Activation Box to the confirmed station
  • Collect signatures from the receiving station on your printed form
  • Take photos during or immediately after the delivery

All deliveries must be completed by the end of April.

Step 4: Submit Your Documentation

After completing your delivery, please submit:

  • Your completed and signed form
  • Your delivery photos

Instructions for submission will be included in the automated email you receive after completing the form.
