SHIPPING TIPS

  • Thank you for understanding that Operation Gratitude cannot pay for shipping donations to our facility, as we need every penny of our funds to pay the cost of sending Care Packages to the Troops and all who serve: $15/package.
  • Use a durable, heavy-duty box and pack with appropriate weight for that box.
  • Do not exceed 50 lbs. per box.
  • To protect your item donations in the event of box damage during transit, enclose the contents in a zip-lock or other sealable plastic bag.
  • Use the most economical method from your location. You can check the websites of the various shippers (UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL) and get their respective prices based on weight and size of package. Some of these outlets may be allowed to offer discounts, as they are owned as franchises.
  • You can try contacting local moving or freight companies; they may be willing to add your donation to their load for free or low cost if they are heading towards our headquarters.
  • If funds for shipping are an issue, you can check with local Veterans’ groups and/or civic organizations (Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, etc.) to see if any would partner with you to cover the shipping.
  • We will send you a thank you letter within 8 weeks. If you want confirmation of delivery of your shipment(s) sooner, please use the tracking system provided by your shipper.

DONATION DROP-OFF

Donation drop offs, product deliveries, and recycled phones are accepted during all Volunteer Hours at our facility (“The FOB”) in Chatsworth, CA: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Fill out a Donor Form to accompany all donation drop-offs so we can properly acknowledge your generous support.
  • During Weekdays: Park in the parking lot and bring your items inside The FOB to the check-in tables on the left.
  • During Assembly Days: Please bring your donations to the Donation Sorting Area to the far right when you enter The FOB.
  • Large donations: Park at the rear of the building for assistance with unloading.
