Mail Call

We receive letters every day from Care Package recipients abroad and at home. Check this page often to read their messages to YOU, the American people, who made their Care Packages possible.

I truly appreciate the love and concern that you’ve shown myself and my unit. Thank you very much for the care package.”

As I’m sure you know it means the world to the soldiers here to receive mail, and even more to receive care packages from folks they’ve never met

I recently received a care package from you, and I wanted to say thank you for thinking of our troops. As I’m sure you know it means the world to the soldiers here to receive mail, and even more to receive care packages from folks they’ve never met. Sir, it means a lot to all of us having you, and all those that help make this happen.   I’m a Warrant Officer for my unit and this isn’t my first tour, but for many of our troops it is their first tour. Care packages are a new thing for them, and it’s something they/we look forward to.   We’re a construction unit from MN supporting Special Forces in NW Africa. We support a geographic area larger than the footprint of the US, so we support a wide variety of projects throughout the area of Operations. Our main function is base building, maintenance, rebuilding, and retrograde, but on this tour we’ve been fortunate enough to be able to do a few unique things. For instance, with the abundance of care packages we receive we take a portion of them, and with the help of a local national we have been donating regularly to local orphanages. We have been able to build a relationship with them, and now we visit them to play soccer with the kids. Again, thank you for supporting our troops. We appreciate all you do for us. Take Care, J.L.F CWO2, EN, USAR

Thank you for making a difference!

Dear Operation Gratitude, My family and I would like to thank you for the support and kindness you showed to us this year! 2019 was rough and we are going through some hard times as a family. I want you to know this was a reminder that people we don’t even know are out there who care about us. It gives me so much hope to hold on for better days ahead! We are Floridians who recently took a short trip North to see snow for the first time! My kids were so thrilled. The box came in just before we left so I brought it along to enjoy along the way. Many of the items inside the box were exactly what we needed to have. It was such a blessing to have lip balm, scarves, and hand warmers! (all stuff I probably wouldn’t have known to be prepared with!) Thank you for being a blessing!  Happy New Year! Thank you for making a difference!  Sincerely, The S Family

It is a joy to see the service members faces light up, full of happiness and gratItude

Hello and Good day.I am the Religious Affairs Specialist (Chaplain Assistant) for 4-9 CAV out of Fort Hood, Texas. On behalf of the entire 4-9 Squadron, I just want to say thank you so much for the Love and Support that You and Supporters have shown to us. I am very thankful to know that we have people from the U.S. who are thinking of us and care enough to take the time to send us care packages. We do not take your kindness for granted and am overwhelmed by the kindness “Operation Gratitude” has shown to us during our deployment to Europe. It is a joy to see the service members faces light up, full of happiness and gratitude. Seeing that we are deployed, we are missing home and our family and are just thrilled to have people who care and to know that we are appreciated. The Soldiers that I have handed care packages to are also very grateful and thankful to you for the thoughts, prayers, and care packs. Getting to see them read the letters and open a package is very heart warming. In closing I would like to personally say that I am thankful to know there are people who care and love the service members. Words can’t describe the joy I feel knowing that I am prayed over and thought of. Thank you and God bless. PFC J.E..W Religious Affairs Specialist
