Here’s our Sailor, F.K. opening an Operation Gratitude Care package while waiting to leave for A school! Thank you so much! E.K.
To Whom It May Concern,
I am currently on deployment, and I would like to express my gratitude for
the care package that I received from you. Our unit received many of them
in the mail today, and we are all thankful for the effort and the caring
that went into each of them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. A
little bit of home goes a long way over here.

am amazed by the time, effort, expense, and apparent love that is involved with all the facets of the program
I was a member of the Hudson Valley Honor Flight #19 on 4/14/18. I want to thank your organization for your contributions. I’m sorry I do not have a picture to send you, but you have my heartfelt gratitude. I am amazed by the time, effort, expense, and apparent love that is involved with all the facets of the program.
Some information that might interest you: I enlisted on my 17th birthday and became a navy corpsman for about two years. It was during WWII when it was the thing to do, and we did not think of ourselves as doing anything heroic or full of bravado, just what was the way to go then. I was fortunate as the war ended before I was involved with combat. My experiences in the service in that category has affected my life from a very positive basis, so I consider myself as one of the fortunate ones.
Included in my package were some personal notes from persons I would like to directly thank, if you are capable of forwarding my thoughts to them; Allison P, , Ruth and Jack, and Sebastian.
Please forgive my rambling, but you have my sincerest thanks for the package and kind words.
My blessings and love to all of you, H.T.
Hello! My name is Commander M.S. and I received a wonderful care package with such helpful and thoughtful items earlier this deployment. My apologies for not writing sooner. I want to pass to you a very sincere thank you for your selflessness and dedication to us out here. The package reached me about half way through my deployment onboard USS **** (CVN 71) and at that time, we were flying frequent missions in support of operations over Iraq and Syria. Those were very busy times and receiving the Operation Gratitude package reaffirmed to me the appreciation of those back home. Thank you. So very much.
I am the Executive Officer (second in command) of an Electronic Attack Squadron flying the **** which provides jamming of enemy systems. We are on a combat deployment onboard our aircraft carrier and are scheduled to return home soon. I’m very excited to get home to see my lovely wife and my 10 month old son, Q.
I hope this email finds you well and again, thank you for your effort putting together all those lovely items for us out here. It means so much.
It’s reassuring to know that America’s young people are being introduced to the sacrifices their country’s veterans made to insure the freedoms we all enjoy.
My name is J.B. ; I go by “Twister”. I am a US Air Force Vietnam Era Veteran. I just returned from a wonderful trip to Washington, DC courtesy of the Oklahoma Warrior Honor Flight. Along with 71 other vets on the trip, I received a box of goodies from Operation Gratitude.
I just wanted to let you know how very much your thoughtful gifts were appreciated. All of the products will come in very useful. I also want to tell you how very much we all appreciate the notes, letters and drawings from the kids. It’s reassuring to know that America’s young people are being introduced to the sacrifices their country’s veterans made to insure the freedoms we all enjoy.

A big thank you to everyone who helped. It’s really awesome to receive packages like this.
It means a lot when someone goes out of their way to do something kind for another, especially a stranger
Thank you so much for the care package. I really enjoyed reading all the letters and really appreciated the health & comfort items. Thank you so much to everyone who wrote the letters and took the time to put the package together. The pictures I attached show only a fraction of what I received, as it would only let me attach so many. It means a lot when someone goes out of their way to do something kind for another, especially a stranger.
We just attended orientation for Veteran’s Honor Flight in the Tampa Bay, FL, area. My father is a WW II veteran and rec’d your box of goodies at this event. He really appreciated all the great items and recognition by Operation Gratitude.
We received our goody bag today and were completely blown away by the generosity of others. My husband and I were like two little kids on Christmas morning. We can not thank Operation Gratitude enough for thinking of us. We are proud to be veterans but forever grateful for the guidance from others. We can’t wait to enjoy our trip on Honor Flight #8.
