Mail Call

We receive letters every day from Care Package recipients abroad and at home. Check this page often to read their messages to YOU, the American people, who made their Care Packages possible.

I truly appreciate the love and concern that you’ve shown myself and my unit. Thank you very much for the care package.”

The packages were always excellent and exceedingly welcomed, but these recent ones really take the cake.

Dear Care Package Generals,

The level of your act of kindness demanded a written response.  I have been deployed twice to Iraq, and I must say that you – The Care Package Generals – have really stepped up your game.  The packages were always excellent and exceedingly welcomed, but these recent ones really take the cake.

I am specifically referencing the endless depth of hygiene products, the edible goodies, the amazing letters and cards, and the icing on the cake which are the United States Constitution pamphlets.

I thank you from the depth of my heart for your love, time, cards and letters, and the best and most considerate gifts.

THANK YOU!  THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Very Respectfully,

M. E.

It was truly a bright day for myself as well as all the soldiers who received something that day

Hello,

We received our shipment of packages around a month ago. It was truly a bright day for myself as well as all the soldiers who received something that day. Giving out was just as wonderful as receiving and I assume that you must feel the same with all the good work done at Operation Gratitude.

I would like to apologize for the lack of sooner thank you’s, as well as pictures. At the time when we received the packages, we were not authorized to take pictures anywhere on the post. Just recently, we have received access and will be able to moving forward, but at this point the boxes have mostly all been enjoyed and digested.

We used the packages in three manners. First, we handed out the largest bulk of the packages to individual soldiers directly. This way they had the joy of opening a package, it does make a difference in morale. Also, we took a few boxes and organized their contents in both our Chapel and the next door MWR. This way the letters, crafts, and all manners of love from the US can be displayed in public areas where soldiers frequent. They also are able to grab a few things they may need or want. It has allowed us to reach a larger amount of soldiers.

I have encouraged those who received letters to write back and some have even started Facebook donation groups for Operation Gratitude.  Anyway we can help for the grace you have given us, please let me know.

Otherwise, thank YOU for your service.

My heart is filled with gratitude for all of you

My coworkers and I have been receiving ‘Operation Gratitude’ boxes. Some really great things in them, including the hat that fits just right. The cards and letters are another extra special personal touch. My heart is filled with gratitude for all of you.

I send my gratitude to Melody from Oklahoma who made a very nice watch cap that kept me warm this past winter.

Hello,

I just want to take a moment to send a note and thank you for the care package. In particular, I send my gratitude to Melody from Oklahoma who made a very nice watch cap that kept me warm this past winter.

As you know, we recently defeated ISIS and now the long work of stabilizing Iraq and Syria begins. There are many cities that will need to be rebuilt and vast numbers of displaced people who will now need to be reintegrated. It will be many months before things begin to normalize.

The support  you provide from home is greatly appreciated and is shared among our Soldiers, Airman, Marines, and Sailors that are operating in Iraq and Syria.

Best of wishes and God bless!
