Please complete our online Product Donation Form. When you complete your online form, you will be sent (via email) printable barcodes to be included with your donation in each box/envelope/mailer/package you ship.

These barcodes are NOT postage.

Yes! Each month we hold a webinar on different crafting techniques and how to make a specific item. All webinars are recorded and available on our Operation Gratitude YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/OpGrat)

There is no limit to how many items you can donate. You can send 1 or 1,000 and we will gratefully accept each item.

What handmade item is needed most?

There isn’t one item that is needed more than another. Please feel free to use your time and talents to make the items you enjoy creating.

All blank cards must arrive no later than October 30th to be included in our holiday care packages.

When creating handmade blank greeting cards, please include an envelope with each card so our troops can send the card home. Please be sure that your card will fit in your envelope before shipping. Please do not put your card in the envelope. Instead, please slide the card under the flap.

If you are writing a letter of gratitude inside your card, please do not include an envelope.

While we accept Birthday and Holiday cards, we ask that your main focus be on cards that can be used at any time of the year. Cards that are simply beautiful without any sentiment are most needed in addition to cards with loving sentiments ie: “Thinking of You”, “Missing You”, “I Love You”, or a simple “Hello”, etc are also needed. For knit or crocheted hats and scarves, Cool Ties, Drawstring bags, and Bandanas, we ask that you use muted colors that will match our troop’s uniforms. Deep shades of blues, greens, grays, reds, browns, tan, and black are all good choices and also appropriate for both male and female troops. You can also use multi-colored yarn in these colors or make multi-colored scarves and hats. Please do not send solid white hats or scarves.

For fleece items, you are welcome to use most colors and prints, but please remember that the items will be going to both men and women, so please avoid overly femenine print and solids. Please do not use solid neon pink, yellow, and orange. We also ask that you do not send solid white.

We accept all fibers including acrylic. If you are using wool, please include a note informing the recipient of the fiber content.

We ask that you only use a size 4 worsted weight yarn for all hats and scarves. Please do not use bulky yarn!

Yes!! The note can be as simple as “handmade with love” and we encourage you to add your first name and email address in case the recipient would like to send you a thank you note. If you are uncomfortable using your own email address, please use info@operationgratitude and include your full name so we can let you know we have heard from a recipient.

Please understand that we can not guarantee that you’ll receive a reply, but we hope that you’ll give the recipient a chance to thank you!

If you are including a note with your handmade items, please roll/insert them into your item. DO NOT attach your notes to your handmade items and please do not use any type of pins.

Please do not use cards for your notes and use regular paper instead. Cards do not roll well and will end up damaged. Please be sure that your note is not visible when rolled into your item or it could be damaged during processing.
