Thank you for visiting Operation Gratitude’s blog, where we will share our current activities, plus letters and pictures from troops who have received our care packages.

We receive letters daily and and frequently post new ways to support our Military through Operation Gratitude.  So we hope you will visit us often!

Here’s a recent letter:

To the Volunteers and Supporters of Operation Gratitude,

On behalf of the Marines I just wanted to thank you and everyone that was involved in sending the care packages to our Marines.  When each Marine saw their name on a package and opened it up, it put a smile on their face and they knew that some cared about them.

As Marines we are asked to do things and go places all around the world.  To have you guys a million miles away supporting us and making us feel like we never left, lets us know that we live in a great nation called the UNITED STATES.  The support we have received from you and others does not go unnoticed, we deeply appreciate everything you guys do for us.

God bless you guys and thank you from the bottom of our hearts from the Marines of Weapons Company

Thanks to everyone involved in any way with Operation Gratitude! I’m so proud of all of you for taking time to brighten a soldier’s day. What you do is so very important and appreciated.

I was at a car show recently and asked participants to take a moment to write a thank you note to our troops. Not one person declined and many who did said it really made them stop and think about the sacrifice these men and women are making. Many handed me their handwritten notes back with tears in their eyes and said they never realized how personal it is to say “thank you” and they’re glad they did.

Enjoying another peaceful night at home with my family, courtesy of the United States Armed Forces. May God bless each of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines; keep them safe, and bring them home soon! Thank you, all!

I hope everyone had a wondeful Independence Day holiday, and is enjoying the extra day off this weekend! Write a letter to one of our brave military folks serving in harm’s way and send it to Operation Gratitude…we’ll see to it that it goes into a care package. God bless America!

I also want to remind everyone of the importance of thanking our veterans for their service to our country. We are losing them fast, especially those who served during WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, and please, if you know anyone who has served our country in the U.S. Military, do not pass up the opportunity to thank them for serving. The United States of America is still the “Last Best Hope of Earth”, to quote Abraham Lincoln. Do not ever doubt it. And without our military, this country would not have remained the good, generous, free, and God-fearing country that it has been for the past 234 years. Please always remember to thank a veteran, a soldier, sailor, airman and a marine whenever you see them.
