Stars, Stripes, and Gratitude

Delivering the news

This year, Operation Gratitude is celebrating its 20-year anniversary and we are grateful for every Volunteer and partner who have helped (and still help) fuel our success.

And now we are excited to be partnering with Stars and Stripes! Founded in 1861, Stars and Stripes provides independent news and information to the U.S. Military community, including active-duty service members, Veterans, and their families. Their commitment to our Military fits perfectly with Operation Gratitude’s mission to ensure all who raise their hand to serve believe the American people care.

Stars and Stripes publishes their print newspaper edition Monday through Thursday, in addition to several special weekend editions for Europe, the Pacific, and Middle East. Operating out of the Department of Defense, though acting separate from it, Stars and Stripes has continuously published its daily print edition since WWII, with an online edition being available to over 1.5 million readers.
