In less than two years, Operation Gratitude has delivered over 200,000 First Responder Care Pouches to more than 450 departments throughout all 50 states and the District of Columbia. We need your help to thank all 2.3 million First Responders in the U.S. as we come together to honor the local Heroes who keep our communities safe.
Assembled in red Operation Gratitude care pouches specially-designed to fit in a squad car or locker, these care packages are filled with a variety of high quality items for our recipients who are always on the go: energy shots, protein bars, cleaning wipes specifically designed for firefighters, lip balm, sunscreen, sweet treats, handmade quick-deploy paracord bracelets, and more.
FIRST RESPONDER RECIPIENTS
FULLERTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
Fisler Elementary School students and Team Kids honored their local Heroes, distributing care pouches to members of the local police force and fire department in Fullerton, CA at an event remembering September 11th, honoring those who lost their lives, and inspiring the students to serve in their own community.
MAPLE PLAIN FIRE DEPARTMENT
‘What you did went a long long way with us Firefighters! We… couldn’t believe how much was stuffed into the red bags!!! We felt blessed and appreciated and talked about the kindness of the people that put this together… We are blessed to serve! There is no greater gift than to serve our fellow man in times of need.’
SHAKOPEE POLICE DEPARTMENT
‘I am very honored that… Operation Gratitude chose our department to receive the care packages you dropped off yesterday. We can not thank you enough for thinking of us…. You put a smile on a lot of officers’ faces!’
JACKSONVILLE SHERRIF'S OFFICE
‘I am a patrol officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. I am also a Marine combat vet. I wanted to say thank you so much to your great organization for sending us thousands of survival bags… The items are useful (and delicious). As combat vet it was always a nice surprise to get a care package while we were overseas and this care package, now that I’m a policeman, brought back the same appreciated feeling. This can definitely be a thankless job at times, and your survival bag reminded me that there are plenty of people that still love and support us.’
what’s inside A CARE POUCH?
Each item included in a First Responder Care Pouch is donated by corporations and individuals who want to express their gratitude to the local Heroes who serve and protect our communities. Companies like Mars, 5-Hour Energy and Hero Wipes help us fill the signature red Operation Gratitude pouches with items for busy first responders who spend their lives on the go. The pouches also include handmade paracord bracelets made by grateful Americans who want to show their appreciation. They are packed with gratitude at our Forward Operating Base “the FOB” in Los Angeles, California by volunteers; and at corporate and community events across the country, including those held by our BRIDGE Council members.
