We receive letters every day from Care Package recipients abroad and at home. Check this page often to read their messages to YOU, the American people, who made their Care Packages possible.

I truly appreciate the love and concern that you’ve shown myself and my unit. Thank you very much for the care package.”

To Operation Gratitude:

Thank you very much for all the support from everyone who helped with the package. I hope all this gratitude is returned and I wish you all the best for the holidays all the way from Baghdad, Iraq,
Sincerely, SPC J.H.

I would like to thank everybody involved in Operation Gratitude.

I am a 23 year old male with the XXXX in Baghdad, Iraq. I would like to thank everybody involved in Operation Gratitude. Thanks for all the support and prayers that you all provide for the soldiers. It's comforting to know that we, as soldiers, are sacrificing so much for wonderful people like yourselves. It makes me prouder and more willing to put my life on the line so that you
may keep your freedom. May God shower each and every one of you with many blessings. SPC J.R.

Dear Friends of Operation Gratitude:

p.s. This is (written on) one of the cards I received from you!

Dear Operation Gratitude,

I want to take this time to say thank you for keeping us soldiers in mind. I received my package with the music and DVD and extra goodies and it really made my day. I am responsible for 20 soldiers so as always we share everything we receive. It really helps us do our job better when we know we have the support of the people at home and I am very grateful. By the time you receive this letter the holiday season will be almost over and I want you to know that I wish you the best for this holiday season and I hope it is safe as well.
Again, thank you so much for keeping us in your thoughts. It means alot to us and a little bit goes a long way here. Sincerely, SFC A.H.

To Operation Gratitude,

Recently I received a care package from your organization. A number of my soldiers also received packages. For them and myself, I would like to thank everyone involved and let you all know that we appreciate the time, effort and thoughtfulness that was put into each package. During this holiday season knowing that we have the support of our country makes it far easier to stay focused on our job. Our unit has been in theatre 9 months now and God willing will begin the long trip back home within the next 3 months. For many of us we will be coming home to new children and a great many other changes. It is OK though because we are doing a great deed and sacrificing so that our country is secure.Once more I want to thank your wonderful organization and tell you how much we appreciate your efforts. Sincerely, SSG J.A.

Dear Carolyn Blashek and all the contributors to the wonderful care packages:

I just want to send my heartfelt thank you for the 2 care packages I have received here in Kosovo. Both boxes contained precious items that we don't have access or time to purchase at the small PX here. Most of all with the packages came the support and well wishes of our families and friends back home. By family I mean anyone who cares enough to make sure we have everything we need and always feel appreciated. In that way, you and everyone contributing to your most noble cause is indeed our family. What you are doing brings immeasurable happiness to the troops here. Kosovo has all but fallen off the radar back home, but still we have soldiers here, who have left loved ones behind to help stop the genocide that once could have wiped out an entire ethnic group if allowed to continue. Your care packages brighten our days, weeks and months and tell us again that we are loved and supported. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! SGT S.H.

Thank you very much for the packages

I and all my soldiers received. It is encouraging to know that so many people at home, even ones we have never met, think about us and our mission here. Have a great holiday! Major J.R.

Dear Operation Gratitude, Thank you for the package!

The goodies, shirts and books you sent were awesome! I passed them around my squad and they would all like to say thank you as well. The playing cards were good because every week we take a night and play cards..kind of stress relief. Anyways, thank you very much and I just want to say how much it means. Sincerely, SPC I.H.
