I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do for everyone over here

Hi.
My name is T.S.   I received two boxes from you and was very happy to get the stuff. I shared with everyone on the flight line.
We are contract workers who run the flight line with the U S Army here at Camp Arena in  ****.
I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do for everyone over here.
I am currently an air traffic controller at the tower at Herat Airport. Most of us are retired military that hire on to U S government contacts to support the military.
Thank you again.

It was great to receive those little things that we needed

Friends

I just wanted to say thank you for the care packages you sent.  They were received aboard the USS  *****.  .  We are currently off of the coast of Australia and we have been on ship for almost 90 days, so it was great to receive those little things that we needed.

Unfortunately we are not able to take photos and put them on the computers to e-mail as regularly as I would like, but I wanted to at least say thank you for your thoughts and well wishes.

As one grunt stuck in administration will testify, it’s much appreciated!

So I didn’t need to unravel my bracelet in an “emergency situation” but I did unravel it for use while deployed here in Kuwait.  I figured I would let you know what it was used for just for your information.

So the housing units we are in have two sets of bunk beds, a couple of wall lockers and a roommate.  That’s about it.  It’s not huge, but it’s not a tent and it has A/C.  All in all, life is pretty good for being deployed.  I utilized my bracelet to hang a privacy curtain up so my roommate and I didn’t have to stare at each other when we changed clothes.  In 124 degree heat occasionally you like to let the boys breath and no one wants to look your roommate in the eye when your catching your breath!  I also used the  bracelet to make an improvised holder for my kindle.  Because it’s too small of a living space for furnishings, your bed becomes a couch, lounger, table, nightstand, chair, and any other creative piece of luxury furniture you can improvise.  I was lucky enough to get a bottom bunk so I cut a piece of the cord and strung into a harness from the underside springs of the top bunk.  Thus, I fabricated a harness that holds my kindle (Patent pending!).  This way I don’t have to hold it with my arms and I can just lay on my bed, look up, and watch a movie, skype my family, or read.  It’s a great “nicety” that increased my quality of life a little.

Thanks for the bracelet.  I was greedy and took two.   I’m not looking for another free item, I just thought you might like to know what your time, effort, and energy was utilized for.  It’s not always “exciting” but it’s useful none the less.  One used, one on reserve ready for action when necessity or luxury demands it’s sacrifice.  Thanks for your support of your military.  As one grunt stuck in administration will testify, it’s much appreciated!

Have a wonderfully blessed day and enjoy the upcoming fall.  In my humble opinion, it’s the best season of all!

God Bless,
