In the month leading up to the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Operation Gratitude will call on thousands of Americans to serve — honoring the fallen and recognizing the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform with the goal of impacting up to 50,000 first responders and deployed troops during the days leading to and on 9/11.

Activating our network of 17,000 community-based groups representing one million volunteers nationwide, Operation Gratitude and our partners, will express the gratitude of the American people through community-wide service projects in New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.

In addition to these in-person community-building events, Operation Gratitude will challenge every American to give back in a hands-on way through our digital postcard platform, with an ambitious goal of 200,000 letters of gratitude on 9/11, a National Day of Service.
