I recently received one of your packages and was truly touched by your generosity and that of the donors

Dear Operation Gratitude Team,

Happy New Year from sunny (and sandy) ***.   I’d like to express my gratitude for your lovely gesture of sending care packages to our deployed forces.  I recently received one of your packages and was truly touched by your generosity and that of the donors.  I can assure you that the package was gratefully received by yours truly and that many others were received by my delighted soldiers deployed with me here in ****.

Thank you so much for your generosity and for making the holidays a bit merrier and brighter for us despite being so far from home and loved ones.

May 2017 be full of blessings for you and yours.

Gratefully Yours,
K.

Everyone received their care package and we are all very happy

Greetings.

I am First Sergeant G., R.  from the *****.   I want to express my gratitude for the support you provide to all deployed Soldiers, especially my Soldiers. Everyone received their care package and we are all very happy. It feels great knowing that even though we are away from our loved ones, there are  people who think about us and care just like our own families.

Once again, thank you so much for your support and kindness!

It is always good to know the country is behind us

Ladies and Gentlemen of Operation Gratitude,
I would like to thank you for the package.  It is always good to know the country is behind us.  I don’t have any pictures to upload because we are out to sea right now.  Just wanted to say thank you!

It’s what keeps us going; such a morale booster!

To whom this may concern,

I would just like to take a minute and thank you for the awesome care package!  I’m really not even sure how anyone got my name and address, but am glad you did.  This is actually my third deployment in the last 11 years, and can honestly say that we (soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines) feed off of the support given from family, friends, and special organizations; such as yourselves!  It’s what keeps us going;  such a morale booster!  I read through your magazine to gain some knowledge and background of your organization.  You guys are truly awesome!  I realize that there are many moving parts, and to be able to pull something like this off on such a grand scale is nothing short of a miracle.  A HUGE thank you to all parties involved.  From the financial backing to ALL the volunteers to the kids making personal cards, incredible!  It means a lot to me that a total stranger would put their own life on hold so that they could give their own precious time to help benefit another total stranger that they have never met.  My hat goes off to you!  This is what makes the United States of America so great!  Everybody coming together, one nation under God!  Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.

Sustain the Victory!

Our tummies are full from all the candy, and our hearts are full of joy after reading the letters and cards from many special people from all walks of life, in particular the children

Mrs. Ann Hamilton, Mrs. Esther Katzman, and to all the Operation Gratitude
Volunteers/Contributors

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your continued support for
all the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines spread out all over the globe.
My team has been truly blessed to receive care packages from your organization
and it certainly makes a difference.  Our tummies are full from all the candy,
and our hearts are full of joy after reading the letters and cards from many
special people from all walks of life, in particular the children.  Some of
the things the children say in addition to the items they draw instantly
brings a smile to our faces as we look them over.

A typical day for us is consists of working out/physical training, followed by
a shower and a meal. Then we work on the 2nd largest vehicle fleet in the
entire area of responsibility (War Zone) for up to 14 hours a day.  I can’t go
into specifics, but our actions directly affects the War on Terrorism and
other significant operations.  We know that being a mechanic isn’t always
glorified.  However, without the maintenance and repair service we provide,
our primary mission of flying aircraft to put bombs on target would not
happen.

All of it was a wonderful reassurance that what we are doing out here is appreciated at home!

Dear Mrs Esther Katzman, Mrs Ann Hamilton, and the wonderful crew of Operation Gratitude,

The team received your geedunk (candy) care packages yesterday and I wanted to extend my sincerest appreciation to you and all your crew!
The packages really hit the spot and you and your team provided us enough geedunk, and there was a mess load, that we were able to distribute it throughout the entire base for the holiday season.  The multiple letters and cards from school kids and well wishers really made our day, especially Mrs Carole Z’s  students at Riverwood Elementary School, Mrs Bev’s Study Group at ***  Public Library, and the students of the K-D   and the C.W.  FFA Chapter.  I got a cool picture of some stick figures parachuting out of airplanes and spaceships.  I have never been called “Hero” and “Brave One” so much in my life.  All of it was a wonderful reassurance that what we are doing out here is appreciated at home!

Though I must say I now understand your strategy.  Last month you sent us care packages that included toothpaste and tooth brushes, obviously intended to preceding the massive amount of sugar we so gratefully received.  Very smart.

This truly was a wonderful piece of America that you so kindly put the time and effort in to mail us.

Thank you very much,

As A Mom I’m thankful to you because my son received a package for Christmas!

Dear Operation Gratitude,

I’m sending a pic of my son (the tall white guy in the back) and the soldiers in his section. My son left for basic training when he was 17 yrs old (he is now 19), and I have missed his 18th and 19th birthday as he is now stationed in ***.  . I was worried when he was shipped overseas I wouldn’t be able to afford to send him packages, because money for me has always been a little tight. I discovered your organization awhile back and signed him up with you guys. This Christmas I was able to send him a little package but not in time for Christmas. As a matter of fact he still hasn’t received it and I was a little sad about him not getting anything for Christmas, and then he sends me this pick with a package you guys had sent him. He’s sharing with the people in his section. So I just wanted to email you guys to tell you, Thank you so very much! As A Mom I’m thankful to you because my son received a package for Christmas!

Sincerely,

A.F.
